Jordan Grimes - Girl's Wrestling Head Coach 

Coach Grimes joins us from Frisco Independence High School, where she served as the head wrestling coach for both the girls and boys programs over the past two years.


 As a wrestler, Coach Grimes was a four-year varsity letterwinner and state qualifier in high school, a member of Team Texas, and competed at Schreiner University.  During her collegiate career, she served as team captain, qualified for nationals three times, and earned National All-American honors in 2020.


In the classroom, Coach Grimes will continue teaching Chemistry at CHS.  Her commitment to excellence extends beyond wrestling—while in high school, she was also an All-Region and State Soloist bass player.  In college, she was a four-time Academic All-American and graduated as her class valedictorian.



Maxine Lisot - Girl's Wrestling Assistant Coach

This is Coach Lisot’s 3rd year at Coppell. She previously coached wrestling at Frisco Independence and Plano East, as well as karate on the state, national, and international level. Many of her kiddos went on to become successful champions and even better human beings. She formerly competed for Team USA. Coach Lisot graduated from UT Dallas with honors, and earned her masters at SMU. 


Currently, Coach Lisot is working towards earning her silver coach certification with USA Wrestling.  Once she completes it, she will be the only female coach in the entire state of Texas to earn it.

Jared Owens - Boy's Wrestling Assistant Coach

​Coach Owens is entering his 10th year in education and brings a decade of passion and dedication to student-athletes both in the classroom and on the mat. A native of Elgin, Oklahoma, Coach Owens graduated from Elgin High School in 2012, where he first developed his love for wrestling. He continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, earning his bachelor’s degree in Mild/Moderate Disabilities and Special Education in 2015. Coach Owens lives in Coppell with his dogs, Lacey and Cooper.​

Meet The Coaching Staff

Chip Lowery - Boy's Wrestling Head Coach 


Coach Lowery brings over 30 years of coaching experience to the role with 21 of those years at Coppell. He grew up in California and finished high school in Florida. He attended Florida State University. He is married to Erika and has one daughter, Emma.
During his tenure at CHS, he has been named District, Region, and State Coach of the Year and in 2016 was named to the Texas Wrestling Hall of Fame.   


As an athlete, Coach Lowery wrestled, played football, and ran cross country with tremendous accolades including conference champion, district champion, and state qualifier. He went on to wrestle at Florida State (NCWA) earning a physical education degree.

David Roulston  - Boy's Wrestling Assistant Coach

David Roulston is in his 7th year teaching and coaching. He is from Amarillo and graduated West Texas A&M with a B.S. in sports and exercise science. This is his 5th year at Coppell coaching football and wrestling.
